A young coffee merchant named John Arbuckle trudged along a snowy pier in New York City, inspecting the latest shipments coming in from the world.

Large burlap sacks filled with exotic beans lined the docks and the young businessman stopped at each one, looking for a robust blend. His annual Yuletide Banquet was quickly approaching - an extravagant affair attended by his closest friends and family members. He was looking for the finishing touch to his holiday feast, the perfect cup of coffee.

As John neared the end of the pier, he found what he was looking for - a small shipment of coffee straight from the lush mountains of South America. He ran his hands through the beans, taking in the wonderful scent. John bought the dealer's entire stock then rushed back to his shop to perfect his Yuletide Banquet blend.

The exotic beans were rich and full of flavor. The new blend would be perfect for his annual dinner. To salute John Arbuckle's delicious Yuletide Banquet coffee, it later earned the title Yu Ban - a name that continues to inspire us today.
